My employer got a call from 888-790-7277 asking to verify my employment at my job. Our HR person tried to confirm with them what their company name was or what they needed the verification for, and I guess they were vague and then hung up. This seems like a scam.

Do not answer this call. They had my maiden name which i haven't had in yearssss. Told me my birthday was public records and wanted me to verify/repeat my DOB and Social. Unfortunately she couldn't give me any info about the call without it. Major sign of a scam.

I called back and the caller stated that it was "a personal business matter". The caller refused to provide me with any other information.

July 25, 2019  ⚐

Ashley (the caller from the call center) stated it was a Personal Business Matter. Doubted that and she would not provide anymore information, other than to state she would call back at a more convenient time. I told her, she would still get me and I'm not interested. Blocking number
