Someone left a message on my phone that I needed to call them back about a matter concerning a bill.. when I called they asked if I had received a call or a letter by mail. I answered "a call". She repeated the question.. I answered "a call"... she hung up. Obviously not the answer she wanted. I would say if you answer YES, you are hooked into some kind of Scam. Also, before a live person comes on the line, you are told the call will be recorded. So, if you say yes, they've got you.
called multiple times over multiple days claming they'll cut off my power and whatnot. jokes on them, though, i'm not responsible for the bills in my house.
scam alert ! Recorded message stating Georgia Power Electric was cutting off power in 30 minutes over unpaid bill Then directs you to call another number for details . Georgia Power has no Knowledge of such calls or the number provided .
