I had a very suspicious message on my home phone. I never answer numbers I don't recognize. Most of the time they don't leave messages. This one came from someone saying that " xxx9 dollars will be debited to your account. Press 1 to cancel this phone-a-thon" The first part (with the xxxs) was unintelligible. No, I did not press 1 and yes, I checked my credit cards immediately and will keep checking them for suspicious activity. I wrote down two numbers. Watch out for these: The first one was said very quickly: 925-317-1536. This comes from California. The second number given was given as 1-217-233-9289, our area code.
Voicemail left partial message... Fire within two days and it will automatically renew with $299 which will be debited from your account. So press one to cancel or call us on 925-317-1536.
Called here twice. Second time I answered - there was the typical robocall delay and connect tone, then disconnected.
