I have had the same experience, sometimes several calls a day, and have received probably 30 or 40 calls from this number over the last few weeks.
Called reporting to be from national Police Officers Association. Gave a spiel about how I have probably heard how terrible it has been out there this time of year. They are looking for donations and if they sent out a. donation form by mail would I be willing to commit to donating. I said "sure" they gave me a choice of 25.00 50.00 or 75.00, saying 50.00 was the most popular level they have to offer. I was asked to pick price and commit to it. I told the male subject on the phone to send the form to me and once I conform the legitimacy of the association I will mail back the form. He responded with saying a 1-800 number was a non profit number and hung up.
Called 2 times in a row! First time I didn't answer then it rang again from same number abnormally fast may I add...I an Answered and nobody you said anything then It disconnected the call Then called a 3rd time and when I Answered it goes then: Its claudia from "the credit dept" and this call is being recorded THEN CUT OFF and DISCONNECTED the call AGAIN. Never called back a fourth time which is odd if it was legit and got disconnected mid sentence they would call again .
I receive a call every hour from this number. I blocked it and now I receive calls from an almost exact same number, one digit off. It’s loan related, real estate related or home improvement sales calls. I WONT ANSWER ANY NUMBERS WITH THIS PREFIX.
Called and left me a voicemail saying that my loan had been approved however I never applied for a loan.
