Our "grandson" called crying about a car accident in which he had a broken nose and a 6 month pregnant woman was hurt. He didn't pass the breatholyzer test. He need to pay his fine of $8000 or spend two weeks in jail - don't tell my dad. I spoke with an "attorney" Christopher Adams who said the fine could be reduced with more public service, etc., and finally it got down to $2500 all I had to do was give them my routing number and account number. I told him I had to talk to his dad and would get back to him. Finally figured out it was a scam.
Called saying Grandson was in a car accident and wanted money. He doesn't want the family to know and to send money and wanted checking acct info.

Scammers offering travel packages. Claim to be Ultimate Vacations or something. I hate that the govt continues to allow this stuff.
A male called me from this number to tell me that I could get a free topical cream and to provide him with my insurance information so they could have it sent to a nearby pharmacy. I asked him to explain further and he said "It's not that complicated". I disconnected the call after that.

My mother received the call. Said it was my daughter, she'd been in an accident in Florida and had broken her nose [to explain why she didn't sound like herself, I guess], and needed $8,000. bail money. Referred to my mother as "Nana" which is what my daughter calls my mother. My mother didn't believe her, said she needed to speak to an attorney. A man called her back, said he was attorney Christopher Adams from Miami Dade area. Somehow they reduced the amount needed to $3,500. My mother refused to give any info, said she needed to speak to her personal attorney first and then called me to confirm that my daughter is okay.
