Any comment that CLAIMS "automated call from social security" is a LIE. Scammers join these boards to spread disinformation. The caller of THIS NUMBER is a criminal and it should alarming to everyone that the number continues to be used by scammers - continues to be ignored by law enforcement.
It was an automated call from social security reminding me of a phone appointment that I had with social security the following day. This appointment was set up through Social Security the previous month when I was asking about receiving benefits. This is a legitimate reminder call reminder form Social Security.

I don't answer numbers I don't recognize, but they have been calling my cell phone. It's showing the call came from Dallas, Texas and I'm in TN. I do have a phone appointment scheduled with SSA, so someone gained access to that call log. My experience has been that SSA does not call to remind of appointments.
Called me twice. Left no messages. I am getting near SS age, but have alreasy taken care of it, so if it's important they will call back. Maybe then I'll answer
Gut a call from (972) 497-1400. They left a voicemail saying it was Social Security following up on a letter about reduced prices on drugs. I have received no such letter and I think it’s a phishing scam. Never give your personal info to these scammers.
Social Security does not call you to remind you of appointments. /This is a scam call.. and if they knew you had an appointment then they got access to a call log.. still a scam..
Social security scam. Answered the phone with "Social Security Administration".
Got a call 6/11/2021 reminding me of my phone appointment with Social Security on 6/14. I do have a scheduled appoint with them on 6/14. Number showed up as "spam".
