I've also received numerous calls from 973-891-3470 during the past week (today is 6/16/23), saying that it was an urgent message from Verizon Wireless about my account, saying "this is an urgent service alert please call us back within 24 hours to resolve a change in the status of the account belonging to (never said name) please call us today at 1-800-754-0961 where you will be prompted to enter your 10 digit reference number (unknown number) once again (and repeated message)." My account is up-to-date with Verizon, so I knew it was a scam. Also the caller id on my home phone said LaneBryant. I googled the number, and saw that other people were experiencing the same treatment from this fraud. I left a message with my experience on that site as well, and blocked contact from this number.
It left a message saying "If this is ____________ (my name), press 1" That's all.

I've received numerous calls from 973-891-3470 during the past week (today is 10/23/20), saying that it was an urgent message from Verizon Wireless about my account, saying "this is an urgent service alert please call us back within 24 hours to resolve a change in the status of the account belonging to (wrong name) please call us today at 1-800-754-0961 where you will be prompted to enter your 10 digit reference number (my phone number) once again (and repeated message)." They got my name totally wrong (not even close), and my account is up-to-date with Verizon, so I knew it was a scam. I googled the number, and saw that other people were experiencing the same treatment from this fraud. I left a message with my experience on that site as well, and blocked contact from this number.
