TWO calls from "Potential Spam" in a week. The first one hung up (or was blocked, or was a robocaller which got some chump to pick up) after four rings; the second time I wasn't home, but guessing much the same. Lots of spam calls from this area code & exchange. Variously seen the carrier as Level 3 (as here), but also as RCN Telecom or New Cingular. So which is it? And who do I complain to the FCC about (unless I file a complaints about ALL THREE carriers...)?
Yet another hangup call from this area code and exchange and which came up on the caller ID said "Potential Spam". AND which traces back to Level 3 (aka "Spammers R Us") except when it traces back to New Cingular. OR to Rcn Telecom....
No message left by "Potential Spam". I see THIS site (like others) list the carrier as Level 3 Communications -- but I've also seen the carrier being New Cingular, and at least one other. So are the spammers now spoofing the carrier as WELL as the number and sometimes the caller ID?
Caller ID said "Potential Spam" but hung up (or was blocked) after 4 rings. Nomorobo's website has a recording asking for "William". Another site said it is the alternate number for some guy with a landscaping business (so why call me? I'm a 12 hour drive away from Massachusetts?). And a third site said it was issued by Level 3 Communications (aka "Spammers R Us"....
Caller ID said Potential Spam so I screened the call. But the caller hung up, or was blocked, after only four rings, so not enough time for the answering machine to kick in. Calling it spam because that's what the caller ID said it probably was.
claims they are prosource and acted like we talked previously scam
