Yup, phone was leaked by GoDaddy or the M&$^# F&$^%@ using the domain registration info (WHOIS) to fish out phone numbers.
You all are right! I've been using GoDaddy for some time but notice after buying more domains or some activity MY PHONE blows up with small business lenders and others. GoDaddy should be fined for this!!!! My phone has been blowing up the past couple of days now I know why!
Do not use GoDaddy. If you do, you are opening Pandora's box. GoDaddy says it's because of the "whois" domain laws, but that's bullshit. They want $8 to make your whois private. Extortion! They are directly responsible for this problem.
Didn't answer. I registered a domain name with GoDaddy and it unleashed a torrent of emails and phone calls.
Four calls a day last four days. No message. Guessing part of marketing spam unleashed by registering site this week on Go Daddy. A good reason not to use them or opt out or promo at least. BLOCK!
Total scam. Pretended to be from Godaddy and asked if i'm looking for website for my recently-purchased domain
Caller ID showed as 216-924-5643, but the number he gave me to call him back was 888-512-6773. Asked for my boss by name, and I don't know how he got it. Pretended to be an existing client. A lot of background noise and the caller's accent suggested this was an Indian call center. Sounds like a scam.
