had a phone call that my electric was going to be turned off for non payment while i had a 150 dollar credit. the guy said he was from duke energy
Someone called my elderly father, telling him his electricity was going to be cut off in 30 minutes unless he paid a "past due" amount of $400. The caller gave this # to my father as a "contact" number. May or may not have anything to do with the actual owner of the #, but wanted to post this here in case someone else has the same experience!
robocall saying they were ConEd, about to disconnect our svc in 30 min. The caller ID screen showed 800 752 6633 as the "from"
Received a robocall saying they were the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power and that our service was going to be disconnected for non payment
Somehow the person on the other end had only my phone number. They tricked me by telling me there was a system glitch and something was t sent out. I believed her at first until she asked for my name. This is a scary scam! How could this person know I signed up for something without having any other verifiable information about me: it’s frightening to think that a person would lie to get your personal information.
