Got unwanted call from 800-695-9796?
this number called me and I sent to voicemail. Left a message but couldn't understand the lady's name too heavy of an accent. Was calling about another person which I don't know to contact a name of a bank which again the accent was heavy along with the phone number of 1-877-4941877 ext. 1210506. Stating that it's imperative to contact her.
Called me at 7:16am. Such a thick accent, all I could tell was that it was a male, and I could only make out the words "1,876" and then "Visa or Mastercard". In response (and still half asleep), I said, "Ok, can you repeat that?" Again, garbled and heavily accented, all I could make out was, "When would you like to pay this debt?" My response was, "Well, in the US it is illegal for collectors to call before 8am; so I will probably just pay it when hell freezes over because I don't deal with scammers!" and hung up on him. By the way, I am completely DEBT FREE. I have NO outstanding bills, no outstanding balances on my cards. For all of these reasons, plus the call before 8am, has red flags all over it--SCAMMER.
