Got a call from 800-869-3557 stating they were calling from Wells Fargo Loss Prevention, I checked the caller ID this number which came up and it appears legit. They proceeded to tell me that my debit card was being used out of state and they were verifying the transaction, etc., they even sent a verification text to my phone. They told me they were blocking that card and would be sending a new debit card. Long story short, they were the thieves who created a digital card and stole $1,500 from my accounts. I have only had these accounts since January. Beware of these professional criminals!!!
I received a call this evening from a man with a foreign accent claiming that he is with Wells Fargo and that my debit card has been compromised $1000.00. He asked if I could provide the last 4 digits of my debit card. Of course, I said "Absolutely not", and told him that I will contact my bank. He argued and kept telling me that he is from Wells Fargo, I hung up.

got a call claiming to be Fraud department and went through with fraud claim on the phone untill he asked for confimation code texted to me. I gave it to him and my wife logged in to our account and saw 150 dollars missing. I immediatly call a different number for Wells Fargo Fraud and they locked my account and said yes it is a scam and they will not ask for confirmation codes. So dont do it.
Of course, it is a scam. Wells Fargo is too dumb to invest in technology to prevent spoofing when they are worried their dimwit, nitwit, morons, nincompoop, stupid CEO's don't receive their high price bonuses !!!!!!!!!!!! CID does show Wells Fargo but we don't have an acct and have never done business with the stupid company. Call hung up after the 1st ring which is spammer's MO. But then stupidity seems to have become the badge of honor these days !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Caller promised to dispute all my debts to have them all removed from my credit profile Lol! If it sounds too good to be true, you better believe it’s a SCAM!
