Got my 70 yr old mother in law to pay $240 to "upgrade" her Xfinity cable adapters. He used the name James Shawn and had her send the $240 check made out to SVT TECK to an address in New Jersey. We are in Virginia. This person scams older victims and comes into their homes. He needs to be stopped.

James Shawn called my 70 yr old mother in law about upgrading her TV boxes. She only has Xfinity TV Adapters. He came to her house and pretended to upgrade them. Charging her $240. He had her make the check out to SVT TECK and mail it to a New Jersey address. We are in Virginia. This scamming man needs to be stopped.

Called my 78 year old mother and told her he was with Directv and needed to update her equipment. She had to mail him a check for $375 to 2445 Bedford Place, Bellmore, NY 117110. He gave his name as James Shawn and she had to make out the check to STV Teck.

Trying to update dish receiver said if my grandmother didn't she wouldn't have satellite after Thursday. Wanted $240 mailed to him at 11 Straton Court Parkin, NJ 08859
