We have gotten several calls from this number, but no one says anything, even if the call is answered.
I have received one voicemail, one text and 15 calls from this number. I can see why it is possible collection calls might be placed due to the current defunding of law enforcement, however it seems more plausible the court would just write themselves a larger check by issuing an arrest/bench warrant and slamming ones case with a failure to pay/appear. That sounds far more likely considering we exist solely as a revenue stream for the legal system. I’m calling bullshit. To the individual that wrote that excessively long and detailed (misspellings and misinformation aside) attempt at legitimizing this, that was a smart touch. However all device info and ip address info is attached in the meta data, so law enforcement can find you if this scam actually works on anyone.
caller is from 844-362-5479. Constant calls throughout the day. A nuisance.
To "Former Court Employee" - just because you say it is not a scam doesn't mean it is true. You could be working with the scammers. In fact, considering you have posted the same comments on every.site that mentions this number makes me suspicious of your motives. Why is it so important for you to go to every site and post the same comment claiming it is not a scam? Maybe because it is? They called my dying partner saying g he owed for a 2014 ticket. Wrong, he paid all his outstanding fines or had them adjudicated. I know...I was there and I made the payments.
To Former Employee of Ventura Court System-- You sure put a lot of time and effort going from site to site to assure everyone that this is not a scam. Maybe you are working with the scammers?? These people are claiming my dying partner owes for a fine from 2014, which he does not. All fines were paid and/or adjudicated. I went with him and I paid the one that the court reduced for him. He does not owe any money. This has to be a scam!!

VM: A woman with a thick accent sang "Alejandro, Alejandro!", I heard the noise of a call center behind her, and then she hung up.
