Got unwanted call from 844-675-2637?
I was told to call this number for verification and validation to register Amazon Prime on my TV. When I called they asked for my email and then prompted me to accept an Amazon generated request to change my password. Unfortunately, I let them and they were given access to my Amazon account. They completed the Amazon Prime TV verification, but then asked me to buy multiple years of Amazon Prime at a discounted rate. Stupidly, I let them charge me through PayPal for a lifetime subscription. Now, I have to report this as a scam. I changed my Amazon password and it looks like there has been no malicious activity on my account. However, how a TV set could advise me to do this is beyond me.
