Do Not Call & Robocall Complaints Reported to the FTC

Got unwanted call from 888-889-7599?

User Comments

I receive at least 2 messages a day from this number. Once I talked to the caller (he pretended not to be the caller) but I nicely asked him to quit calling , mainly because I could not understand his accent) as I had not requested or received a help for a computer problem from them. He said he would see that I would not receive any more calls. Yes, my number was on a Do Not Call list.) Less than 10 minutes I received another call. I will never answer , and I will tell everyone that this number is a scam and do not answer. I will continue getting calls, and they can waste their time , not mine.

Could not understand them. Something about renewing something....

Left a message saying something about renewing something. Could not understand them!!

July 26, 2019

Left a message on my message machine about my monthly subscription for 99.99 very important that I renew. Obviously scam as I don't have any monthly subscriptions for 99.99. Often get on message machine and the man requests that I press 1 to renew and 2 to cancel. As well, I have picked up during the message, pressed the 2, and actually have gotten a person, to whom I have said: "I do not have an account with you people. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. This is an unpublished number, AND I have reported you to the FTC, so please STOP CALLING THIS NUMBER. I have requested that you stop calling numerous times. They are relentless. A couple of months ago, the guy said he would cancel "because he did not want 'nasty' customers like me." Yet, often they have called several times a day from this SAME number, which I got from *69. Caller: no company name given--but something about computer support .NOTE: I have reported this issue to FTC Complaints frequently since April. Today, July 9, 2019, I got another call and the guy was beyond "rude" and downright "crude/nasty.": I continue to get these calls, sometimes several times a day within 20 minutes of the first call, telling to stop calling, as above. AGAIN, Today, I did the "press 2 to cancel, as have gotten a real person in the past," which I did today and AGAIN advised them to STOP calling, this number is on the Do NOT Call list, and have consistently reported to FTC. I was placed on hold. Someone got back to me---turned my hair 'grey', saying to me: "Stop . . . .you are nothing but "F--KHEADS and --SSES. . . .Something needs to be done with these callers. The first time rec'd, back in April, the guy told me they don't "want nasty customers like me; (I'm not the one using nasty language as was used by them towards me today) he'd take me off the list." HOWEVER< it continues, not just relentlessly, BUT today with the nasty language. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO FILE A COMPLAINT TO GET THIS TO STOP? I"VE REPEATEDLY COMPLAINED TO THE FTC AND GIVEN THEM THE NUMBER FROM WHICH THIS SCAM IS CALLING FROM???? WHAT is the USE OF THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND FILING repeated complaints if nothing is getting done???? Now into 4 months and several times a week and hasn't been unusual to receive a call, tell them DO NOT CALL, and 20 minutes later, get another call from the same people. (copy of this was submitted to FTC COMPLAINT--AGAIN, today--July 9, 2019--

very annoying calls

Computer scam wanting 99.99/month. They call at least twice a week. I keep reporting but nothing happens. Call both my cell and landline. I just ignore or disconnect them. Don't know why the do not call list can't do something about it.
