I got a call stating I took out a loan for 400 with Advance America, um no mam I didnt. I got bank statements and all for you and she said oh no its ok i will note. and hung up. Dont try that with me. Cause Ive never. Shut you down real quick.

I received a call from a number I have apparently blocked because it went straight to voicemail. The message said I have 24 hours from the time of the voicemail to contact them at 904-541-8370 or legal actions will be pursued. First of all, who are they referring to because cellular numbers are recycled constantly and how do they know if they have reached the correct person? The fact that they are not able to provide information and when I asked for email documentation to be provided, I received nothing but an application to apply for a loan, I am not going to stress over it. I just wish they would stop calling and trying it.
i have been getting text messages for two days from 904 numbers. I block the number so they call on a different one masking threats of taking me to court. i dont know who they are or what they want but it is annoying and upsetting
Got a call from this number not asking for anyone saying they will pursue legal action within 24hrs if I do not contact them. I do not know who "them" is and do not owe anything.
Received numerous calls and texts over the past 4 days with the same threats as described above. I don’t have debt. At all. So hearing them say it was for a payday loan made out to me from 2013 in FL at an address I haven’t lived in since 2006, I knew something was amiss. I told “Kara” that I want them to send me all original documentation as this sounds like a scam. She said they can’t give that information because it will used against me in court. I said “well, that’s not what my attorney would hear because of a thing called discovery”. Even if my identity was stolen and a loan was taken out 7 years ago for $500 (of which they “will settle for $499”) The statute has passed and it isn’t on my credit reports. So I have to assume it’s a scam. When asked what their next steps would be to take me to court, I was told they won’t be doing that but instead transferring the debt “back to original company for them to decide.”
Received a text message from 1-833-999-7455. The exact message received states: "Lawanda, You have a PAST DUE account in our office. Contact us ASAP to STOP potential Legal action/Wage Garnishments. 718-766-9223." The message was received at 3:35 pm EST on 06/02/2021 to 252-xxx-xxxx. I called the number given and spoke with Kara, a representative with the company. I verified that the name of the company was indeed Mediation Processing Services and that the company was indeed located in Jacksonville, FL. Kara proceeded to inform me that the purpose of the correspondence was regarding an online payday loan with the company CashNet USA. The loan was supposedly obtained in 2013 for the amount of $400.00. The loan supposedly defaulted in 2015. Requests for further details regarding this loan were unable to be given by the representative. However, Kara was able to provide me with the IP address that allegedly obtained this loan. The address is as follows: 204.9.79.77. I received multiple calls from the company on this day. I was recently in Florida from May 13-18, 2021 and on May 15, 2021 I did lose my NCDL while at Universal Orlando Islands of Adventure. I can only imagine that my NCDL must have been found and that the information is being sold to whoever wants it because this is the 3rd call like this that I have received since returning from Florida. The company was calling me from a variety of numbers throughout the day even after I requested to not be contacted again except via USPS. Contact AG for NC and anyone else who’s relevant regarding this matter
Someone from this number left me a message saying they would pursue legal action if I didn’t call them within 24 hours. Just out of curiosity, I called them back. They said that I had an outstanding payday loan from 2013 and mentioned a bank that I haven’t had in about 13 years. When I told the lady that I did not have an outstanding payday loan, she was very agitated and said I could handle it in litigation and then hung up on me. I honestly don’t think I have a payday loan that is outstanding.
